This Saturday at 5 o'clock, coinciding with Art Walk, enter your painted pumpkin in the competition for the first Great Painted Pumpkin Festival in downtown. You can bring a painted pumpkin, or you can decorate one of the pumpkins that is already there with supplies provided for you.
There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, as well as a people's choice prize! If you just want to join the fun, make a $5 donation and you can paint a pumpkin or celebrate the painted pumpkins that your friends and neighbors create. So head down to the Parc International area in downtown Lafayette. It's an artwalk Saturday (6 p.m.) and movies in the parc will screen Coco!
