On Saturday, December 14, visitors to Downtown Lafayette can take in the Christmas season with a live nativity presentation at Cathedral Carmel School in Lafayette.

The nativity is presented by the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. Actors and live animals will be used to recreate the nativity scene.

Guests can experience the live nativity from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

The event is a fund raising opportunity for Catholic Charities of Acadiana and their continued support of homeless communities in Acadiana.

Free gumbo and hot chocolate will be served.

Catholic Charities says that there are opportunities to sponsor the event to help the organization bridge their funding gap.
