School is out for summer and you'll have to get creative if you don't want your kids to completely ditch everything they've learned over the school year.

In this week's Abby's Apps, Abby gets some help learning about a fun educational tool from a couple of sisters who attend Our Lady of Fatima.

The Romero girls were introduced to Kahoot! in their classrooms at school. It's an educational tool with games, quizzes and trivia. Kahoot! makes learning fun.

"You can either take quizzes that your teacher made up or you can make quizzes. You can make them about yourself. You can make them about different topics, different languages. You can make them about anything," says Ashlyn Romero, who will be a fifth grader at Our Lady of Fatima.

"Some topics are like music, some are about english, some are about math," adds Ella Claire, Ashlyn's older sister.

Kahoot! has designed games for kids of all ages and interests. Now on the brink of summer, these girls are glad they can interact with classmates and friends by sending kahoot challenges

"You could compete with people on quizzes. If you answer the quiz fast you get points, if you answer right you get points and the top 3 get awarded on Kahoot," says Ashlyn.

The Romeros know that they'll have fun playing in the app all summer while retaining and even learning new information for the school year ahead.

"A lot of the quizzes are educational so they keep your mind going and knowing the information you learned over the years instead of just forgetting it," says Ella Claire.

"It's important to use Kahoot over the summer because you want to keep your brain fresh and ready for the next grade you're going to," says Ashlyn.

Kahoot! is a perfect way to sneak something educational into your child's day while they think they're getting away with playing games and having screen time!

You can also do family game nights with Kahoot! or even challenge other families to things like trivia.
