This week's app works on your phone or your tablet but the website version for your computer is probably the most user friendly.

It's called Coursera, a learning platform offering online courses, professional certifications and bachelor and masters degree programs.

Unlike other online colleges Coursera offers courses from universities across the world, including Yale, Duke and University of Michigan. It also has some professional certificates for companies like Google.

Subjects vary from engineering and math to humanities, social sciences, marketing and more.

Most courses are about four to ten weeks with just a couple hours of video lectures each week- much less time than a regular school semester.

This app is great, not only for those looking to continue education, but it can be fun just to take a class on a subject your college courses never covered.

Some of the classes are free but most range from about 30 to 100 dollars, which still feels pretty cheap compared to the thousands you might spend at a four year university.
