The reigning Miss Louisiana Holli’ Conway stopped by GMA Tuesday to tell us about her time as Miss Louisiana.
As Miss Louisiana Holli has visited several schools in Louisiana sharing her platform “Inspire” which aims to teach young girls and boys to follow their dreams.
Conway also competed in the 92nd Miss America pageant in September 2018. Conway made her way into the Top 5 and walked away from the competition as Second Runner Up.
Nia Franklin of New York was crowned Miss America.
Holli’ says that although she didn’t win Miss America, she did win the talent portion which means more to her than the second runner up position. Conway is a singer by profession.
A piece of advice from Conway to girls competing in the Miss Louisiana Pageant this year, “stay as authentic as possible. You live this whole year as the person you presented on that stage. So be very careful about who you put on that stage.”
After passing on her crown, Holli’ says she plans to move to New York City to begin a career as an actress and performer on Broadway.
The Miss Louisiana Pageant will take place on Saturday, June 22 from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm on The CW.
