This morning Dave sat down with Deana Pereira from ST. Ann’s Catholic Church and Zydeco musician Geno Delafose to talk about the church’s upcoming Grande Boucherie!

Everyone is invited to go out and celebrate the 23rd annual La Grande Boucherie Creole De Mallet! It will be on May 4th from 10am to 6pm at St. Ann’s Church in St. Landry Parish!

There will be BINGO, Children’s games, music, etouffee, plate lunches, BBQ, boudin, cracklins, and everything else that an original Boucherie would have!

St. Ann’s Catholic Church has celebrated la Grande Boucherie Creole de Mallet for many years! The Boucherie is a time-honored Creole tradition of bringing families together for the butchering of a whole hog. The Boucherie is now a common celebration in the small towns of Acadiana!

Geno Delafose will be playing from 3pm to 6pm.

There will be music, dancing, food, an fun, but the best part is that it is free to everyone!
