Acadiana Animal Aid Director Heidi Paterson joined GMA, asking that those inclined to give this year during SOLA’s “Giving Day” consider making a donation to Acadiana Animal Aid.

Funds collected will go towards Animal Aid’s mission to find homes for area animals.

Paterson says they are grateful to be a part of SOLA’s Giving Day event.

Participants in Giving Day can learn more about Acadiana Animal Aid via their donation page on SOLA’s website.

Those interested in making a donation to Animal Aid can do so here: www.southlouisianagivingday.org/AAA.

Animal Aid works within the Acadiana Area to rescue and rehome cats and dogs. The organization’s primary purpose is to pull animals from approximately 9 high kill shelters in South Central Louisiana.

Those animals are then made ready for adoption and transport across the country for rehoming.

Animal Aid hopes the funds from SOLA’s Giving Day will help them to continue these operations.

Donations made to Animal Aid will be doubled thanks to the Pinhook Foundation’s matched donation of $5,000.
