Acadiana Symphony Presents: Heart & Soul

The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra is “ORCHESTRATING PASSION” this lent! Dave Baker chatted with  Michael Zeek, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s Education Manager, about their upcoming concert and summer camp registration.

the concert, titled Heart & Soul, is described as music for the heart and soul during the season of Lent in the beautiful setting of St. John’s Cathedral. Selections include J. Haydn’s Symphony “Mourning” – one of the composer’s most emotional and spiritual of all his symphonies as well as American premier of Stabat Mater by young dynamic Portuguese composer Carlos Garcia.

The concert will be held at the St. John’s Cathedral on Friday, April 12, at 7pm.

In additional news for the symphony, summer camp pre-registration is now open! The group offers four different camps for children throughout the summer. Enrollment is limited, so register today!
