The Acadiana Indian Association will host Holi Fest on Saturday, March 30 in Girard Park.

Abby Breidenbach was LIVE this morning with a preview and a little more information about what Holi Fest is all about.

The event starts at 11:00 am and continues until 4:00 pm in Girard Park. Attendees will experience Indian food, Bollywood music, dancing, as well as bursts of color.

Those colors, in powder form, are tossed into the air and onto festival goers as a sign of celebration of the coming of spring, according to the association.

Every color has a specific meaning. Abby found out a bit more about those colors this morning.

Everyone is invited to attend the event. Those who do attend are asked to wear white to show off all the colors associated with the festival.

The event is free to attend, but guests will have to pay for their food and colors they will use to celebrate.
