The Federal Bureau of Investigation will host a Diversity Agent Recruitment event on March 20 in New Orleans.
Senior Supervisory Special Agent Evan Patterson joined GMA this morning with more information.
The event is a nationwide initiative by the Bureau to recruit a more diverse population of agents that accurately reflect the population of the United States. Patterson says that having a diverse pool of agents is beneficial to the Bureau in better connecting and protecting the people they serve. Potential applicants are given the opportunity to obtain information about the FBI, ask questions about the Special Agent position, and interact with FBI personnel during the event.
Anyone interested in applying to be a special agent is welcome to attend the event.
Applicants can head online to find out more information and to register for the event. Those interested can head to fbi.gov.
