Mike Ryan, Youth Program Specialist at SLCC (South Louisiana Community College), dropped in for GMA today to discuss the college’s annual Discovery College Summer Camp program for school kids.

Discovery College at SLCC offers a unique summer camp experience with sessions in CSI investigating, video game making, robotics, STEM, drawing and painting, and ACT prep. The fun begins Monday, June 3.

Camps are designed for youth in grades 3-8, with ACT camps for grades 9-12. Weekly sessions cost $99 for ACT prep and $150 for all other camps. Register before April 30 and get a 20% Early Bird Discount. Included in the cost of each session is a camp T-shirt, snacks and beverages, and all materials and supplies.

Camp sessions begin on Monday and run through Friday each week during June and July (no camps July 1- 5). All camps are held on the Lafayette SLCC campus. Camps run from 8 am to 12 pm for grades 3-8; ACT camps are held in the afternoons from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
