For over a decade Bridget Begnaud has been wowing students who step through her first-grade classroom at J. Wallace James.
Whether they’re learning how to put together letters or spell a certain word, Begnaud says she tries to make learning and getting it right fun for all.
While learning the basics of reading, writing and math is a must for all of Begnaud’s students, learning how to be kind and thankful also rank at the top of the list.
Every year, around Christmas, her students get to pick a present from under the tree. And no matter what they unwrap, they have to show thanks.
And Begnaud says that win or not come January 31st, she is just excited to be recognized for the work she does to make sure all of her students are winners.
