The Children’s Museum of Acadiana will be ringing in the New Year early on New Year’s Eve with their New Year’s Noon Countdown and Carnival.

The event lets children and their parents enjoy celebrating the coming New Year without the fuss of having to stay up late.

KATC’s Abby Breidenbach was LIVE  on Friday at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana with more on today’s event.

Starting at 10:00 am on Monday, December 31, this is CMA’s 23rd year hosting the family New Year’s Eve event. A Carnival will be set up during the event with outside games under the “Big Top”, Kiddie Cuisine, free Arts and Crafts and all existing exhibits for families to explore.

At 12:00 pm, guests will celebrate the New Year with a prize ball drop and confetti storm which will take place outside under the Big Top. Celebratory hats and noisemakers will be provided for the celebration.

Admission for the New Year’s Noon and Carnival Countdown is $8 per person. Members of the Children’s Museum pay $3 per person. Children 12 months and under get in free.

Carnival game tickets are .25 cents each and will range from .50 cents to $1.50.

The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is located at 201 E. Congress in Downtown Lafayette. For more information visit the Children’s Museum of Acadiana website
