The holidays are here. And with the holidays comes days off from school and the inevitable phrase, “I’m bored!”

To help keep their little minds going, we have a few craft ideas that will not only keep them busy but also add to your holiday décor.

From markers to glue sticks, it doesn’t take much to keep the kids busy. But, as Lafayette Moms Blog contributor Stephanie Kizziar says, it does take a little effort.

“Make sure that art supplies are already readily available to them,” says Kizziar. “I find that if they’re able to guide themselves and have these supplies easily accessible they’re more likely to let their imagination run wild and have a lot of fun getting ready for Thanksgiving.”

Gratitude turkeys, placemats, and even little memories that you can keep for a lifetime are just some of the things that can keep those little hands busy over Thanksgiving break.

And Stephanie says that the best part of these crafts is that perfection is not required.

“Don’t have any expectations.”

Because, Stephanie says, in the end, your kids are happy with whatever they come with.
