GMA is On the Road this morning in Broussard with a preview of the Broussard Community Fair happening this weekend at St. Cecilia School.

The school, located on Main Street, will be filled with music, fun, and food, including the famous loose meat sandwiches.

The Community Fair opens at 10:00 am on both Saturday and Sunday. For more information on the Broussard Community Fair visit their Facebook page.

Carnival rides and games will be available for families with the purchase of a $50 bracelet or individual tickets for $1.25.

There will also be prizes and a raffle giving away $5,000.

Beginning at 7:00 am the The Reguladores Cajun Heat will begin their Poker Run through the parish.

The Poker Run helps to raise funds for the community and this year will make a stop St. Joseph Diner to make a food donation. Those who participate in the Poker Run are asked to bring spices, seasonings, and brown rice to donate.

The ride is $25 for the driver and $15 for the passenger. All proceeds benefit the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Cecilia School.

The ride will end at around 2:30 pm.

Live music will feature several local artists, including Sal Melancon, Jr. who been sharing his voice with Acadiana for 30 years. Music begins from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday.
