The Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) Acadiana Chapter is excited to partner with the University of Louisiana Hospitality Management Department for the second annual “Acadiana Food & Wine Soirée,” Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the University of Louisiana Alumni House, 600 E. St. Mary Blvd. from 6-9 p.m.
This must-attend event will be an evening filled with great culinary specialties from some of the area’s finest restaurants, along with impressive wine tastings and entertainment provided by solo pianist, Steve Smith, in the beautiful gardens of the UL Alumni House. A commemorative wine glass will be given to each guest, as well as the opportunity to win cases of assorted wines. If you love a wine you sip, buy the bottle!

A portion of the proceeds from Acadiana Food & Wine Soirée will benefit the Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation (LRAEF) and the University of Louisiana Hospitality Management Department. The LRAEF will use monies raised to further promote the restaurant industry as a career choice through its restaurant management and culinary arts program, ProStart®, offered at eight Acadiana schools. Attendees will be able to meet students from the ProStart programs at Washington Parish Career Center and W.D. Mary Baker Smith Career Center at the event, as they will be preparing and serving one of the dishes of the evening.
