Friday morning on GMA, a crucial member of the morning crew was absent from the set. Daniel Phillips, who we always trust to give us the “what’s what” in weather, was nowhere to be found.
The reason for that absence? You can blame that on the Diablo Burrito Challenge. On Thursday, Daniel faced off against other media personalities at Cypress Bayou Casino attempting to take down a six-pound burrito.

Daniel didn’t manage to beat the behemoth burrito but he did finish in third place. It was a noble feat, but a six-pound burrito needs time to digest. So we gave Daniel a pass this morning.
Thankfully, we’ve got some of the best meteorologists around willing to take on the weather and six-pound burritos.
