We may still be waiting for that crisp fall air to make its way to Acadiana, but we can still get into the spirit.

And what better way to do that then by heading to the pumpkin patch.

It’s a tradition for many families here in Acadiana.

Every year thousands of people descend on the Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette to take pictures, pick out pumpkins, and just enjoy what little fall Acadiana has to offer.

And our GMA family is no exception.

“We want to encourage families to come and purchase pumpkins to help someone else and create fun activities for families at the patch and at home,” says volunteer Jenny Best.

And what better activity is there then getting your hands dirty with a little pumpkin carving.

Whether you’re visiting the patch to pick out that perfect pumpkin, take those infamous family fall photos, or just have a little fun in the maze, there is one thing that’s certain.

It’s all about carving memories that last a lifetime.

The Pumpkin Patch is open Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
