Susan G. Komen Acadiana will hold their Touch a Truck event on Saturday, September 22 at the Bayou Church in Lafayette.

KATC’s Abby Breidenbach was LIVE this morning with more details on this weekend’s event.

The Touch a Truck event is $5 per persona and can be purchased online at or at the door. The event starts at 10:00 am and last until 2:00 pm.

Fire trucks, ambulances, bulldozers, and tow trucks are just a few of the vehicles that will be featured during this weekend’s event. Attendees will have the chance to interact with each vehicle while also learning about how those who use them, protect, severe and build up the community.

There will be a quiet hour between 10:00 am and 11:00 am for those children with sensory disorders to experience the vehicles. After 11:00 am, organizers say demonstrations with sirens and loud noises will take place.
