The Louisiana Outdoor Expo and Boat Show begins today in Lafayette

The Louisiana Outdoor Expo and Boat Show opens today at the Cajundome and Convention Center in Lafayette.

KATC’s Scott Brazda is LIVE this morning at the Convention Center with a preview of this weekend’s three-day event. 

The doors of the event open at 3:00 pm today and will feature some of the latest gear in hunting, camping, and boating, as well as a number of demonstrations. Those demonstrations will span the entire weekend and include fishing and dog jumping, the largest whitetail deer collection in the world, rattlesnake wrangling, and trick shot archery. 

The Walton and Johnson Show will be at the event on Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and the expo will also play host to the 2018 World Waterfowl Calling Championship. 

Single day tickets for the event are $12 for Adults and $6 for kids 5 to 11 years old. Children under 5 get in free. Guests can purchase a three-day pass at $20 for adults and $9 for kids ages 5 to 11. 

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or at the Cajundome Box Office. 

The Outdoor Expo will run from Friday, July 27 until Sunday, July 29. Below are the dates and times for each day of the Expo.

Friday:  3:00pm-9:00pm

Saturday:  10:00am-8:00pm

Sunday:  10:00am-5:00pm
