The St. Landry-Evangeline United Way will host their Men Who Wait on Women Who Wine event on Saturday, July 21 at the Delta Grand in Opelousas.
The event is a Gala Dinner that will feature male celebrity waiters competing for tips as they serve guests. Organizers say waiters will include state and local officials, as well as high-profile business and industry leaders. A silent auction and live entertainment will round out the evening.
Attendees will enjoy a steak dinner provided by Café Josephine and free-flowing wine. A cash bar will be available for those who do not drink wine.
The Gala will be held from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online at uwsle.org.
All money raised for the event will go to support the programs of the St. Landry-Evangeline United Way.
