United Way of Acadiana’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign kicks off today.

You can help out by donating supplies at local Walmarts or at the United Way Warehouse on Pinhook Road in Lafayette..

Scott Brazda was LIVE from the UWA warehouse this morning with details on this year’s campaign.

Supplies collected from this year’s campaign will go toward students in the four parishes that the United Way of Acadiana serves: Acadia, St. Martin, Lafayette, and Vermilion. 2,500 school bags were donated by Cox Communications for the program and the United Way is hoping that the community will help them to fill those bags with supplies.

Through the Stuff the Bus campaign the United Way is encouraging local businesses and organizations to participate in their Adopt-A-Classroom program.

Donations from last year’s "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive totaled around 40,000 and those items were sent to 68 schools and local programs in Acadiana, according to the United Way.
