The GMA Crew was joined this morning by Miss Louisiana 2017, Laryssa Bonacquisti who shared her experiences as Miss Louisiana and how her reign has helped her grow.
Bonacquisti is a senior in Broadcast Journalism at Louisiana State University and was a double-preliminary winner and Top 7 contestant at the Miss America competition.
She currently travels around the state advocating for the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Laryssa is also a ventriloquist and with the help of her friend "Waddles," encourages people of all ages to find their talent. Bonacquisti says she has been practicing ventriloquism since the age of six and it has since become her passion.
Laryssa says that her talent has allowed her to break down barriers that may have come from being Miss Louisiana.
Laryssa’s reign as Miss Louisiana will come to an end this month when Miss Louisiana 2018 is crowned on Saturday, June 23 in Monroe. Learn more about the Miss Louisiana Organization, here.
