Henderson’s Prehistoric Park takes you back to a time to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. That’s right, dinosaurs!
It seems that in St. Martin Parish, life has found a way, even for these formidable giants.
Despite the recent news of their missing Velociraptor, read more on that here, the Prehistoric Park in Henderson is going strong and has been in operation for three years. It’s goal, to bring these 65 million-year-old wonders back to life. With 23 exhibits and a large outdoor exploration area, there is something for every dino lover in the family.
And the park isn’t all sharp teeth and claws. There’s plenty of educational opportunities to go along with all of that ferocity.
With so much to see and do, we had to ask the staff for a little guidance. The dinos on staff were not too helpful, but the human staff pointed us in the right direction.
So be sure to take a step back in time to visit a place where a kid can be a kid, and adults can be kids, too.
