This morning on GMA, the crew previewed Louisiana’s upcoming Lemonade Day.

The day was brought to Louisiana in 2010 by entrepreneurs John Georges of Georges Enterprises and Todd Graves of Raising Cane’s. The two say they got their first taste of business by operating a lemonade stand and want to encourage young people to do the same.

Lemonade Day, according to organizers, is a community-wide program that is designed to introduce young children to the prospect of entrepreneurship by having them build and operate their own lemonade stand. The program hopes to teach kids to set goals, make plans, work those plans, and achieve success all while running their own business.

The event will be happening May 5 all across the country.

Children can register online to get their entrepreneur workbook that covers lessons for being a successful business person.
