Family Promise of Acadiana to hold 12th annual Southern Garden Festival

Family Promise of Acadiana will hold the 12th Annual Southern Garden Festival on April 20 and 21. 

The event will begin on Friday night with Dining & Dancing Under the Stars at the Harold & Sarah Schoeffler Gardens located at 3502 East Simcoe Street in Lafayette from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Founder of Family Promise of Acadiana, Karen Olsen will be the guest speaker at Friday evenings event.

On Saturday, April 21st, the garden will play host to a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. Those activities include garden tours, master gardener presentations, artists, musicians, and bayou boat tours. Children’s activities include a scavenger hunt, seed ball crafts, and much more.

The Saturday event will be free for children and $10 for adults.

The Family Promise of Acadiana is a homeless shelter that takes in whole families who may be struggling or facing times of crisis. The program helps to find housing, employment, or resources for families to help them to overcome limitations and become independent once again.
