Now that the brand new school year is has arrived, some students may need a haircut before going to class.
Three local groups are stepping in to help with the 17th annual Kutz for Kids event.
This year's event will be held at Blue Cliff College in Lafayette on Sunday, August 11 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Haircuts will be available for children between the ages of 5 and 14. All haircuts will be free of charge. No registration is required to receive a haircut.
Organizers will also be giving away school supplies to children in need.
The annual event is sponsored by Upsilon Rho Chapter of Omega PSI Phi and the 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette.
