St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers is asking for help in solving a shooting in the Port Barre area.
On September 27, 2020, at 12:32 am, deputies responded to the 16000 block of HWY 190 near Port Barre. The complainant reported that multiple gunshots were heard and one subject was shot during a large party at the home, according to a spokesperson for Crime Stoppers.
When deputies arrived, they noticed a large number of vehicles leaving the home and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the back of a truck. Deputies rendered aid to the victim until an ambulance arrived. With the use of a k-9, deputies located two weapons and casings but need your help in identifying the shooter in this case.
