St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a drive-by shooting in the Opelousas area.
On May 8, 2020, just before 2:00 am, deputies responded to 117 Emile Street Opelousas in reference to shots being fired into the home. A total of nine rifle casings were found at the scene. Bullet fragments were found in their car and in the interior and exterior walls of the home.
The owner's 11-year-old daughter was sleeping on the couch and was three feet away from being struck by a bullet. Detectives also observed that some of the bullets actually passed through and through the home putting the neighbors at risk.
Security camera footage shows a small white car as a possible vehicle used in the shooting.
