St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help from the public in solving a rash of burglaries throughout the parish.

During the month of November, deputies responded to eight separate burglaries involving the theft of catalytic converters.

The burglaries occurred at the Tri-Community Nursing Center, Church of God Campground, Agape Adult Day Healthcare, St. Landry Parish Community Action, DC Motors, and a private residence. The vehicles were all parked at night when unknown suspects used a saw to cut them from the exhaust.

A total of 15 converters were stolen included with the damage to the vehicles, the total loss of value was $9,000 dollars. Video surveillance shows on at least one of the burglaries a single suspect is seen removing the converters.
