St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help in solving an armed robbery in the Opelousas area.

On September 17, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the Gator Gold Casino on Hwy 167 in Opelousas for an armed robbery.

The security guard reported that he was conducting his normal duties and screening guests when he observed two unknown men rush into the casino wearing masks.

One of the suspects yelled, "This is a hold-up" as they ran into the door.

The guard believed the second male to be older based on his stature and how he carried himself. Patrons inside the casino were also robbed at gunpoint.
