Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating two 18-wheeler thefts that occurred in the 100 block of Frontage Rd., near Duson. The first theft occurred just after midnight on August 10th and the second theft was on August 14th, 2020.

On August 10th, multiple suspects stole an 18-wheeler and flatbed trailer. The 18-wheeler is described as a 2014 Peterbuilt Freightliner, black in color with "Dailey Trucks, LLC" on the cabin. The trailer was described as a black Matrix flatbed trailer. The suspects were riding in 2 Dodge Ram Duallys, one black and the other white in color. Both vehicles were pulling car hauler trailers.

During the second incident four suspects riding in a light color BMW sedan stole an identical 18-wheeler along with a Fontaine flatbed trailer loaded with seamless tubing. The second truck was later recovered without the trailer or its cargo.
