Acadia Crime Stoppers: Help needed in solving multiple copper thefts

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating multiple incidents of copper thefts that occurred in the Evangeline area. Most of the thefts were reported in late October, 2019, along Evangeline and Old Evangeline Highways.

Unknown suspect(s) cut the power to transformers and electrical boxes to steal the copper from inside. In some instances utility poles were taken down to gain access to the transformers. The value of loss from these recent thefts is $25,000.
