St. Landry Crime Stoppers: Help needed solving Eunice shooting

St. Landry Parish Crimestoppers is asking for help from the public in solving a shooting in the city of Eunice.

In the early morning hours on June 13, 2019, police responded to the 200 block of Jelks Street for a robbery that involved the shooting of a Eunice man.

The victim was returning home when the suspect robbed him. After the victim said he didn’t have anything, the suspect patted him down and stole his wallet.

Once the suspect took the victim’s wallet, he shot the victim in the chest with a handgun then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a Lafayette hospital for the gunshot.
