St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in solving a burglary at Dave’s Monument in the Lawtell area.
On the 4th of July, the owner reported that she was notified that an older model black GMC Yukon was parked in front of the business at 8:20 that night. After reviewing the security cameras the owner noticed a man removing various granite flower vases and bottom stones from the property and then loading them inside the vehicle, according to investigators. The suspect is described as having a heavy build and was wearing a t-shirt that read “started at the bottom” printed on it.
The video shows that the suspect was accompanied by a woman and a young child.
The total loss of value is listed at over $1,000 dollars.
