Broussard Police Department conducted active shooter training today at the Celebrity Theatre Thursday morning.
They say it's an effort to protect citizens in case of an active shooter like seen in other states recently.
"It's crucial, in today's day in age, we can't be complacent. we have to be vigilent, we have to be prepared," said Chris Galvez, Assistant Chief. "And that's why i said perfect practice makes perfect."
