An Indiana woman was arrested on Friday after police say she allegedly allowed three children to drive a school bus with other students on board.

According to ABC News, Joandrea Dehaven McAtee, 27, was arrested and booked on charges of felony neglect of a dependent after video of her allegedly allowing the students to drive appeared on social media. The video was taken by other students who were riding the bus at the time of the incident.

Police say that an 11-year-old, 13-year-old and 17-year-old drove the bus while McAtee instructed them from behind.

McAtee, according to ABC News, was immediately fired after the video and allegations surfaced.

The school system in which McAtee was a bus driver said in an official statement that they are angered and disappointed in McAtee’s actions and that she was relieved of all duties as a bus driver for the school system.

“The safety of our students is top priority,” Porter Township School Corporation said. “We are thankful for the students and parents who came forward quickly with this information to both PTSC administration and law enforcement allowing us to respond expediently and take the proper steps to ensure student safety.”
