CROWLEY — The Acadia Parish Police Jury may soon have the authority to remove blighted properties in the unincorporated areas of the parish.
That's if the government approves an ordinance giving them the power to dismantle those properties. Under the proposal, the police jury would be allowed to remove blighted and abandoned properties not located in a subdivision.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Acadia Parish Courthouse.
