Church Point Police have arrested a Benton man, alleging he used social media and extortion to rape a local victim.
Landon Dickerson, 20, was booked with extortion and second-degree rape. He remains in jail in lieu of $260,000 bond, records show.
The investigation alleges that Dickerson made a social media contact with the victim, then drove to Church Point and extorted the unwilling, resulting in a rape. Church Point Police obtained warrants for him and he was arrested Monday.
