The Giant Omelette Celebration– 5,000 eggs to be — continues tomorrow in downtown Abbeville with the main event.
Preparing the giant omelette is no easy feat, taking dozens of chefs and thousands of eggs.
The procession of the chefs and eggs will start at 1 p.m. where members of the celebration will march through the streets of the city and greet the crowd. Preparation will start at 1:30 p.m., and once it’s ready, it’s time to eat!
However, you don’t have to wait until the afternoon to enjoy the festival.
The arts and crafts show and food show start at 9 a.m.
There will also be antique cars for viewing from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Enjoy live music from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The festival will close at 4:30 p.m.
