In 2007 I became the News Director responsible for the news product, as well as the hiring and training of news personnel.
Where did you go to college?LSU for my undergraduate degree. UNO, UL for post-graduate work
Where did you grow up?Chalmette, LA
What is your philosophy on news?We have a duty to inform the public on issues they need to know about in the community. We need to be accurate, fair, and cover all people and areas in Acadiana. Local journalism should change communities for the better by shining light on problems, but we should also put just as much effort into showing why Acadiana is such a great place to live.
What do you love about living here? The people. We have the nicest, most genuine, welcoming people living in Acadiana. The food can’t be beat; no matter what you feel like eating, you can find it here. There is also something to do every weekend. I never have any trouble finding an event or a festival to discover, meeting interesting and unique people along the way.
