A January storm for the record books as around-the-clock rain leaves much of Acadiana under water. This is the worst winter flooding in Acadiana in 20 years.

Hot heavy days and wild nights, that's the weather recap this weekend.
Severe storms came on the tail end of severe record heat. KATC'S Chris Welty spent Sunday in Eunice and saw the damage first hand.

The strong line of thunderstorms that tore through Acadiana earlier knocked out power to nearly forty five hundred Slemco customers.

In Rayne, officials say they're already making progress even though it has not been a week since the tornado. The City of Rayne administration is pleased to announce that the Louisiana Baptist Convention has brought in several work crews with heavy equipment. The crews are trained volunteers and have experience with disaster recovery.
