Richland Parish picks new superintendent

RAYVILLE, La. (AP) - Richland Parish has a new school superintendent. The school board voted unanimously Tuesday to name Secondary Supervisor Sheldon Jones to the district's superintendent position. Rayville man killed in Richland Parish accident

RAYVILLE, La. (AP) - A Rayville man died after being ejected from his vehicle in a Richland Parish traffic accident. State police say the victim was traveling west on La. Highway 622 Thursday night when the car ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch embankment.... more »

MONROE, La. (AP) - Richland Parish Sheriff Charles McDonald says three men working on natural gas lines were injured when a line ruptured.
