BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police will join with the Drug Enforcement Administration for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Oct. 29. On November 3, 2010 at approximately 06:00 p.m. Sheriff Louis Ackal advised agents with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol section conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 90. DEA Collects 242,000 Pounds of Old or Unwanted Prescription Drugs

WASHINGTON (AP) - A daylong, nationwide effort to get people to turn in old or unwanted prescription drugs has collected more than 121 tons of unused medicine. LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A former pharmacist who pleaded guilty to filling fraudulent prescriptions for an illegal Internet drug company has been sentenced to 15 months in prison.
