In Vermillion Parish, the Abbeville Fire Department responded to a house fire early this morning.
Around 1:30 A.M., there were reports of heavy smoke coming from a house in the 1800 block of Wabash.

Flames broke out just after 2 Saturday morning in the 700 block of Cormier Street in Breaux Bridge.
According to reports, two separate residences were involved. Luckily no one was injured, but the cause is still under investigation.

Residents in the town of Scott are dealing with power outages at this time.

Lafayette Police are investigate an early morning shooting.
Officials have confirmed that at least one person has been shot and taken to a nearby hospital.
It happened in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive around 5 AM.
This incident remains under investigation.

Lafayette Police are searching for the suspect(s) in a robbery at the Professional Arts Pharmacy on Gilbeau Road. It happened Thursday morning (September 17). The suspects were in a light-colored Chevrolet Malibu with dark- tinted windows. If you have information that could help investigators, call 232-TIPS.
