A group of Lafayette Parish residents pushed LCG, and Tuesday night they came out winners. At first, Lafayette Consolidated Government wanted to annex two subdivisions, Hernandez Heights and Walker's Lake, into Lafayette city limits. Lafayette Consolidated Government amended an ordinance that would annex two unincorporated properties into the City of Lafayette. Originally, LCG wanted both "Walker's Lake" and "Hernandez Heights" to be annexed into Lafayette city limits.
