White Lake Fishing Permits To Be Given Out By Lottery

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is now accepting applications for a lottery drawing for fishing permit access to the White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area (WCA) between March 15 and Aug. 15, 2010. Gueydan Building Given A New Name

In Gueydan, the multi-purpose building at Jesse Owens Elementary has a new name, the Jonathan Williams multi-purpose building. A school board member requested the building be named after Williams, who died suddenly at his home in October. Williams served as principal of the school for ten years. more »
