GRAMERCY, La. (AP) - The founder of Zapp's Potato Chips has died. The company's general manager, Rod Olson, says Ron Zappe (Zapp-EE) died Tuesday in Houston, where he was undergoing treatment for throat cancer. He was 67. Funeral arrangements have been made for Southside Bakery founder and owner Edith Leblanc Guilbeau, who died at the age of 93. Visitation will take place at Delhomme Funeral Home on Saturday, beginning at noon and lasting until 9PM. A rosary will be said at 7PM on Saturday as well.... more »
