It will cost UL students 50 dollars to drop a class, starting this semester. The new policy says those with 0-29 hours earned (freshmen) and 30-59 hours earned (sophomores) will be allowed 1 to 2 drops without a fee, with no more than 3 in the first 59 hours.... more » -

Slemco costumers are seeing a new charge on their bill. It's called "Gustav-Ike Storm-Rider" and is suppose to help the electric company replenish funds used during those 2008 hurricanes.
