A Catholic church in Vermilion Parish and the Diocese of Lafayette are being sued. The suit was filed this week by an Abbeville lawyer who represents 25 people. A small community in Vermillion Parish is upset with a decision made by Saint Anne Church in Cow Island. Residents say sentimental statues and plaques were removed from grave sites in 2 cemeteries and thrown into the trash. Some had been there for more than 40 years. It's a... more »
